The public is invited to hear from Tennessee candidate for governor Dr. Jason Martin at the Greene County Democratic Party Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 18.
The event, which will include a free meal, will be held 4-7 p.m. at 1480 Martin Road, Limestone.
In addition to Martin, other Democratic candidates scheduled to speak at the event include Cameron Parsons, candidate for the U.S. House 1st Congressional District; Sara Thompson, candidate for the Tennessee State Senate for District 9, and Kate Craig, candidate for Tennessee State Senate for District 3.
The event is being hosted by Wendy Ritchey and her husband, Michael Helbing.
“We hope to generate some enthusiasm in the county and surrounding areas to get out the vote and support the Democratic candidates,” Ritchey says, adding that the cost of the meal was “paid for by the Greene County Democratic Party’s generous donors.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for extra seating.
For more information, call Ritchey at 708-704-4432 or email Darrell Key at [email protected]. Key serves as the chairman of the Greene County Democratic Party. He was recently elected to represent the 9th district on the Tennessee Democratic Party’s Leadership Team Executive Committee.
